Winter is finally here. I love this time of year so much. Mostly because I spend most of my free time with family and friends, reflect on the past year, and feel so full of blessings and gratitude. The holidays, and the colder weather are just a plus.
It was hard for me to think of a new habit for the month of November. I already had 10 new habits for this year and I spent a lot of time thinking about what I could do to really improve my lifestyle and work towards being my best self.
I decided to wake up every morning and start my days with the gym six days a week. I start by running a mile and then I lift weights. I did so well. I went to the gym every day for 3 weeks, and then I pulled a muscle in my back, so I am currently taking a break from the gym. I don’t think that I will break this new healthy habit because I can not wait to get back!
I have always struggled with self love for my body. To be honest, there isn’t a single thing that I absolutely love about it. It is hard not compare myself in this day and age, but I have learned to change my thoughts and focus on the positive. I am healthy, I am young, and I should love my body for all of the things it does for me.
I am not starting to set weight goals or beginning a weight loss or get fit journey. When I have done this in the past, I get too frustrated and give up eating well and exercise all together.
This time I decided to take it by a different approach and go to the gym every day simply because exercising feels good. I may not lose weight or get strong right away, but I am doing better than I was a few months ago, and in a year, I will be so thankful that I started this new habit.
It’s the first of December, and I have already started my last new habit! It’s crazy that after this month, I will have 12 new habits, that I do just about every day, that I didn’t do last year!
Onto the next adventure, Wren
