Our Honeymoon Video

Derek and I took our honeymoon 5 months after our wedding last year. We decided to save the money that we got from our wedding, and plan our honeymoon later, so that we could go somewhere that we really wanted to go. It worked out great for us! Once our wedding was over, we still had something to look forward to and count down to, and we were in the “honeymoon stage” for six months straight. Okay, who am I kidding? I don’t think we will ever get out of the honeymoon stage. 😛

So a year ago today, we took a Caribbean cruise for 8 days, and traveled to San Juan, St. Thomas, Grand Turk, and the Bahamas. It was just what we needed to warm up from the cold fall, spend alone time with each other, and take a vacation filled with beaches, sunshine, and endless food. I miss our honeymoon every single day, but I am so glad I made this video to look back (and laugh) on.

Our Roadtrip Down the West Coast

I finally got around to making this video from our West Coast road trip! The pacific North west is by far the most beautiful place I have ever been to, especially the coast. I have been wanting to visit Oregon, Washington, and northern California for as long as I can remember, and now I get to re-live it all through this video.

We left July 7, and returned home July 16th, 2016. 8 days, 6 states, 5 big cities, 2,500 miles, and 45 hours of driving time. Traveling with Derek is by far my all time favorite thing in this world. We love exploring new places together, and he puts up with my obsession to capture almost every single moment of it.

Dursteler Abode Renovation

The other day I got frustrated because my furniture wasn’t doing what I wanted it to do. I got a little upset and I was in the mood to throw everything away, and start over. Poor Derek comes home almost every week to a rearranged, reorganized, re-designed house.

I  took a little break from my weekly re-designing mood to sit down and finish this video. My whole mind set instantly changed. Our home may not have everything I want it to have, and I am starting to accept that it will most likely never feel complete, but that’s okay. Every time I walk into a room, I see how much work we’ve done, how many memories we’ve made in these past four months, and how far we have came with our renovations.

I am constantly getting compliments on our home from strangers, and I appreciate it so much. I just want you all to know that it is not finished, and it is no where near “oh my gosh your house is perfect!” Our bathrooms are still under renovation and I have a long wish list of new furniture I need to make all of my visions come to life, but that is the fun that comes along with owning a house!

I love our Dursteler Abode, and I am so happy I have this video to remind me how much I love it, and how much TLC we’ve put into it. Also, I want to say thank you to everyone who helped us with our remodeling and renovations, whether you’re in this video or not, you know who you are and we appreciate it and love you so much!

Thanks for watching, Enjoy!

1st Anniversary in Moab

Hi guys! I have figured out how to use my new video editing software. I am still learning and messing around with it, so be patient with me. 😉  I finally made time out of my crazy schedule to finish this video. We’re going on vacation this week, but as soon as I find the time again, I will be finishing and posting more videos! (Including our home renovation.)

Thanks for watching!

Our Canyon Overlook Hike

I was going to make a video of our whole Zion getaway weekend, but I decided I didn’t want to carry my camera around the whole time, and I wanted to spend quality alone time with Derek, without any electronic devices, while we were at the restaurants and in our hotel.

So, here is a video I made of our hike to the Zion Canyon Overlook.

PS- I am in the process of finding a higher quality video editor for future videos, the one I use now makes my footage less clear than they originally are, so I apologize for that!

Wedding Video

Today is the seventh valentine’s Day Derek and I have spent together, but it is our first of being husband and wife. I decided to share our wedding film, because I have never felt so much love watching any other video, as I do this one.

I hope you all have a wonderful day filled with love, and joy. If you are not spending your day with a significant other, remind yourself that you are loved and appreciated.

Happy Valentine’s day loves!
